Dick Davis, Jr.

Richard T. “Dick” Davis, Jr., of Brandon, MS passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Dick’s Life will be 3pm Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home, Brandon. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, May 1, 2023, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home, Brandon from 5:00pm until 7:00pm and again on Tuesday from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at the funeral home.

Richard fondly known as Dick or Dart head, was born April 4, 1938, in Jackson, Ms. He received a BA at Mississippi College and a Masters Degree from Ole Miss. He retired from wholesale car buying in 2003. He especially loved antique cars. He also loved trout fishing and had amazing stories to go with it. He donated to the Salvation Army and gave blood regularly to Mississippi Blood Services.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents Richard T. Davis, Sr., and Alba Dora Davis, and sister Dinah (Gearald) Keen.

He is survived by his wife Brenda W. Davis of Brandon, MS, two children Karen Davis of Baltimore, MD, Richard “Beau” T. (Shonna) Davis III of Madison, MS, stepchildren Tonya (Shaine) Sims of Star, MS, Belinda McKenzie of Rapid City , SD, Marc (Marla) Sims of Pensacola, FL, grandchildren Peyton Davis and Grayson Davis, step grandchildren, Amanda (Cory) Lee, Hannah Sims, Stacy Parker, Jeremy Parker, Georgia (Rob) Dau, Robbie MacDonald, nine great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
