Mr. Don Franklin, age 71, a resident of Morton passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.  Visitation will be held 5pm-8pm Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and 8:30am-1pm Wednesday at the funeral home.  Services will be conducted 2pm Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Morton Memorial Gardens.  Bro. Gary Wyatt and Bro. Richard Gregory will officiate the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mr. Franklin was born in Shaw, MS on February 18, 1946.  He loved riding his Harley motorcycle and working on and rebuilding motorcycles.  Don enjoyed working on antique cars.  He loved cutting grass and doing yard work.  Don was great pool player.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  Don will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his son, Billy Jack Gregory; parents, Elmer Don Franklin Sr. and Gladys Aderhalt Armstrong; sister, Polly Schneider ; brother, Wayne “Scaper” Franklin.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Nina Franklin of Morton; 3 children, Richard & Connie Gregory of Morton, Andrew & Donna Kimble of Morton and Kenny & Gail Warnsley of Morton, 3 siblings, Robert Franklin of Brandon, Lucille Renfroe of Pelahatchie and Susie Gill of Pelahatchie; 9 grandchildren, Bubba Gregory, Ashley Laird, Kimberly Laster, Zachary Turner, Brittney Norwood, Smokey Joe Norwood, Emilio Warnsley, Ryu Warnsley and Denzel Warnsley; 9 great grandchildren, Hayden Gregory, Carson Gregory, Cammie Laird, Isaiah Laster, Nylah laster, Nadylie Laster, Kayliegh Turner, Amira Warnsley and Emilio Don Warnsley; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be, Don Renfroe, Bubba Gregory, Zachary Turner, Smokey Joe Norwood, Nick Laster and Matthew Franklin.  Honorary pallbearer is David Schneider.
