Donald Mccann

Donald Ray McCann, age 59, a lifelong resident of the Forest area died Wednesday, March 24, 2021, in Venice, LA.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Sunday, March 28, 2021, from the chapel of the OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest, with the interment to follow in the McCann Family Cemetery. Bro. Shannon Davis and Bro. Bob Smith will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5pm-8pm Saturday, March 27, 2021, at the funeral home. (Please wear a facial covering, and practice social distancing while inside the funeral home).

Donald was born to his parents on January 18, 1962, in Alamogordo, NM. They relocated to Mississippi. Donald grew up in Scott County. He worked for Quality Production Management, a petroleum company. He was a Lead Operator for the company. He loved his family, the outdoors, and always lent a helping hand to anyone in the community. He never met a stranger and always had kind words to say. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes Pearl Smith, Walter Lee Mccann, and a brother, Gary McCann.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Fisher McCann of Forest, 4 children; Crystal Bounds and Timothy Bounds of Forest, LaTosha Franklin of Kosciusko, Braxton McCann, Brittany McCann, and her fiancé’ John Bray all of Forest, three sisters; Cathy Smith, Brenda Smith, Amy Wilson, two brothers; Steve McCann (Charlotte) of Lake and Kenneth McCann (Brenda) of Forest. He also leaves a legacy of 10 grandchildren; MaryAnn Bounds, Taylor Hardin, Morgan Bounds, Madison Hardin, Skyler McCann, Eli McCann, Laken Bray, Leila McCann, Hunter Franklin, and Bentley Franklin, and a great-granddaughter, Esmee Hollingshead on the way!

Pallbearers are Chris Weaver, Chris Weaver, Jr., Jake Anderson, Justin Myers, William Holland, and Robert Terry, Honorary pallbearers are Skyler McCann, Laken Bray, Hunter Franklin, Eli McCann, and Bentley Franklin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association 4830 McWillie Cir, Jackson, MS 39206.
