Donald Lee Bowman Jr., age 59, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 at his residence. Visitation was held 4-7pm Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 2pm Monday, October 26, 2015 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in the Myers Cemetery. Bro. Howard Haar and Bro. Rick Hammerstrom officated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mr. Bowman was born in Rankin County on January 31, 1956. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to deer hunt and fish. Donald loved to cook and considered himself a great chef. “Junior” will always be remembered for his unforgettable smile and heart of gold. His great personality made him a joy to be around and he was always willing to build whatever you imagined with metal. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is survived by his parents, Donald Lee Bowman Sr. and Mary Grace Myers Bowman; son, Scottie Harmon (Melissa) of Brandon; sister, Brenda Bowman Bynum (Joe) of Pelahatchie; brother, Dwayne Bowman (Ann) of Pelahatchie; 2 grandchildren, Grace Harmon and Aubrey Harmon; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Pallbearers were Joe Bynum, Austin Bowman, T. J. Burnham, Josh Steverson, Scott Warren, Dewayne Lightle, Jeff Myers, Roland Cordell and Ritchie Perkins.
