Donna Dessert

Donna Kay Dessert, 52, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Visitation is 3 pm Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Park Place Baptist Church in Pearl.  A memorial service will follow at 5 pm with Dr. Keith Grubbs and Dr. Chad Hunsburger officiating.

Donna was a loving wife, but more so a great friend, the greatest of friends to her husband. She was an extraordinary mother, and true to the calling to raise her children the way that they should go and she had faith they would never waiver from that teaching. Donna will be lovingly remembered by everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. If anyone was ever in need, she was always ready to be there and do anything for anybody. She loved attending Park Place Baptist church, fellowshipping with Sunday School friends and singing in the choir. She genuinely just loved being surrounded by family and friends and had a personality that would light up a room and an unwavering heart for the Lord. Donna was truly a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Survivors include her husband, David Dessert of Pearl; daughters, Haley Cushing (Drake) of Pearl and Christi Sturrock of Bessemer, Alabama; mother, Peggie Coleman of Puckett; father, Ray Massey of Florence; brothers, Dennis Massey (Diane) of Florence,  Steve McAdams (Sue) of Cuba, Alabama and a large extended family.
