Donna Jean King Fox, 81, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at her home. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and 1pm Friday until the service time at 2pm Friday in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be in Brandon Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Fox or Mamaw, as she was known to everyone, loved spending time with and caring for her family. She enjoyed attending sporting events of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, fishing, working crossword puzzles, and reading cookbooks. She also enjoyed gardening and was proud of her rose bushes and lemon tree.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Fox Carter (Ritchie); 2 sisters, Corrine "Kenny" Gibson (Cloyce) and Joyce Gipson; 3 grandchildren, Kymberlee Carter Owen(Greg), Kristie Carter Armstrong (Will), Sidney Fox Carter(Ashton); 5 great grandchildren, Miles Carter Jackson, Mason Gregory Owen, Karlie Marie Carter, Addison Carter Armstrong and Joshua William Armstrong; also several nieces and nephews; she was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lawrence and Mary Ella Evans King and Brenda's father, Raymond Fox.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries, Inc., or First Baptist Church of Brandon, Children's Ministries.
