Donna Sue Ward, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 18, 2023, at the age of 75. She was born on April 18, 1948, in Union, Mississippi, to Andrew H. Watkins and Ethel Breedlove Watkins.

Donna will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife to her husband Johnny Ward. Together they shared countless memories and built a strong foundation of love and support throughout their marriage.  As a dedicated mother, Donna leaves behind two daughters who were the pride and joy of her life - Teresa Brooks and her husband John, and Tina Crouch and her husband Robert. Donna's nurturing spirit and unconditional love guided her daughters through life's ups and downs. Her legacy of love will forever be cherished by generations to come.

Donna had the opportunity to experience the joy of being a grandmother. She leaves behind five adoring grandchildren who brought immense happiness into her life - Brittney Emmons and her husband Cameron, John Breland Brooks and his wife Caroline, Brooke Castle, Kameron Castle, Madison Shadrix and her husband Jake. She cherished every moment spent with them and left an indelible mark on their lives.  She also leaves behind her brothers, Jerry Watkins and his wife Dyann and David Watkins and his wife Rhonda.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Mike Watkins and Roger Watkins - as well as her sister Willie Mae McKinley. Their bond was unbreakable, filled with love, laughter, and shared experiences that will never be forgotten.

Using her talents at Walmart until retirement allowed Donna to touch the lives of many people in the community. She approached her work with dedication and sincerity while making genuine connections with colleagues who became lifelong friends. Friends meant everything to Donna. Her compassion knew no bounds as she always offered a listening ear or a helping hand whenever someone needed it most. Her kindness radiated in every interaction she had, touching the lives of countless individuals.

To celebrate Donna's life, there will be visitation held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ott & Lee Funeral Homes- Brandon, located at 1360 W Government St, Brandon, MS 39042. Immediately following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at the same location starting at 11:00 AM.

Donna Sue Ward's departure leaves an emptiness in our hearts that words can scarcely fill. However, it is important to remember her vibrant spirit and unwavering love she bestowed upon her family and friends throughout her life. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In this time of mourning, let us come together as a community to support one another and honor Donna's legacy of love and compassion. She may be gone from our sight, but she will never be forgotten in our hearts.

May Donna Sue Ward rest in eternal peace.
