Mrs. Donnie Ivy Massey, 65, a resident of Pelahatchie died Thursday at home. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Sunday at the Rehobeth Baptist Church in Pelahatchie with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was held 4-8 pm Saturday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Rev. Rick Hammerstrom and Rev. Ronnie Spears officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Massey was a native of Scott Co. and was the daughter of George Ivy and Lessie Davis Ivy. She was married to Charles Massey. She worked many years for Stanwood Corporation as a seamstress. She loved her church family at Rehobeth Baptist Church in Pelahatchie. Mrs. Massey enjoyed, gardening, sewing and cooking for her family whom she loved very much. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her. Mrs. Massey is preceded in death by her parents, George Ivy and Lessie Davis Ivy and her sisters, Barbara Anthony and Faye Garner. Mrs. Massey is survived by her husband, Charles Massey of Pelahatchie; children, Alisha Massey of Brandon and Gary Massey of Pelahatchie; sisters, Betty Jean Smith and Helen (Billy) Parker; brother, Billy (Kay) Ivy; Many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Serving and honoring Mrs. Massey as pallbearers were George Anthony, Brad Prestage, Gatlin Trest, Justin Trest, David Myers and Kyle Parker.
