Doris (Dottie) Parker Dixon

Dottie Dixon, 85, of Brandon, MS passed away at her home in Brandon, MS on April 9, 2024. She was born in Wiggins, MS and graduated from Stone High School. She married Jimmie Dixon and lived most of her life in Lucedale, MS, where they built a home and a successful business together.

Dottie was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie, her beloved beagle Fred, her sister Emily Jo Johnson, her brother Charles W. Parker and brother-in-law Will G. Davis. She is survived by her Brandon family: Alice Parker Davis, Dan Davis (Lane), Robert Davis, Jo Lynne Lundy, Doris Bell, Trameya Taylor and Dajona Reed. She will be missed by many friends in Brandon, Wiggins and Lucedale. Thank you so much to Billie for taking Dottie's ashes back to Lucedale to rest in peace with Jimmie.

Dottie requested that family and friends celebrate her life in whatever way they choose and instead of flowers please give a beagle dog a treat, spend the day on a sandbar at Red Creek or share food and fellowship with people you love.
