Cato

Doris Ann Frazier, a beloved member of the Cato community, passed away on April 7, 2024, at her home. She was born on September 10, 1935, in Raleigh, MS. Known for her loving and humble nature, Doris touched the lives of many with her kindness and gentle spirit.

One of Doris's fondest memories was sharing family meals after church every Sunday. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, especially towards her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she cherished deeply. Doris had a passion for baking, particularly cakes and cookies, earning her the endearing titles of the "Cake Lady" and "Cookie Lady" within the community.

Amongst her proudest accomplishments was her marriage to her soulmate, Bobby K. Frazier, on June 10, 1953. Bobby's passing preceded hers, but their love endures as a timeless testament to their devotion. Together they were charter members of several churches in the Jackson area, First Independent Methodist Church and Boling Street Methodist. Doris was also a member of Cato Baptist Church.

Doris leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth. She is survived by her sister Gloria Jean Pace; children Dale (Gloria) Frazier, Cynthia (Steve) Boone, Brian (Karon) Frazier, Paul (Debbie) Frazier, and Sharon (Danny) Hannah; grandchildren Adam (Peri) Frazier, Charlie Frazier, Heather Frazier, Ashley (Tim) Krason, Justin (Kellie) Thomas, Jared (Karen) Thomas, Brad (Betsy) Boone, Amy Boone, Brett (Allison) Frazier, Kayla (Cas) Sullivan, Blake Frazier, Jennifer (Shelby) Warren, Jonathan (Bethany) Frazier; Sarah (Wendell) Barlow; Cody Hannah; and Garrett Hannah; as well as 22 great-grandchildren with one great-grandchild on the way. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Myrtle Hord Tanner, husband Bobby K. Frazier, great-grandchild Gabe Warren, siblings, Winnie Yelverton, Wilma Gunter, Winsil Walker, and Willie George Corken.

The visitation for Doris will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Additional visitation will take place at Cato Baptist Church on Thursday, April 11th, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM. Rev. Brett Frazier, Rev.
