Doris J. Callaway, 85, passed away Thursday, February 05, 2015 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation is 5-7 pm Friday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 10 am Saturday at the funeral home with interment in Brandon Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Callaway was a native of Longview, Texas and a longtime resident of Brandon. She was an active member of Crossgates Baptist Church and volunteered for many years with the Red Cross at Doctor’s Hospital in Jackson. Mrs. Callaway loved her family very much and was very active in keeping her grandchildren, great-grandchildren whom she referred to as the joy of her life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Billy J. Callaway (USAF-Retired) of Brandon; daughters, Patti J. Wilson (Ray) of Mendenhall and Jamie L. White (Ronnie) of Brandon; grandchildren, Chris White, Kevin White, Scott Wilson (Rachel) and Sara Wilson; great-grandchildren, Chance White, Cash White, Lou Ellen Grace Wilson and Steely Ray Jordan.
The family would like to thank special caregivers, Katherine Sayles, Miss Ruby, and others at Miss. Home Health, the staff at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Miss Maxine, Gerald and Judy Adams and Doris May’s Sunday School Class at Crossgates Baptist Church.
