Doris Jack Harrell

Doris Jack “Jinks” Harrell, 86, a resident of Crystal Springs, MS died, Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Copiah Living Center in Crystal Springs, MS. Funeral services were held 2 pm Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with internment in the Springhill Cemetery. Visitation was held 4-9 pm Friday at the funeral home. Rev. Marc Williams and Rev. Phillip Evans officiated. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Harrell was a native of Rankin Co. He was the son of the late Walter Gifford and Axie Frances Torrence Harrell. On August 16, 1947 he married the love of his life, Louise Gray Harrell. Mr. Harrell was a farmer and worked his whole life doing what he loved. He was a member of the Leesburg Baptist Church. He loved his family very much and they all have very fond memories of him. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Harrell was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Gifford and Axie Frances Torrence Harrell, brothers, Buddy, XO, Claude and Wes Harrell, sisters, Axie Phillips, Grace Thompson and Ola Thompson, grandchildren, Brenton Ryan Harrell, Billy Jason Harrell, Carl Harrison and Amanda Chunn.
Mr. Harrell is survived by his wife of 66 years, Louise Gray Harrell; children, Freddie (Judy) Chunn, James Ray (Shirley) Harrell, Linda Harrison (Kenny Wayne Daughdrill), Marie Downs, Billy Jack (Kayla) Harrell, Dale (Brenda) Harrell, Bonnie (Tommy) Bailey and Pennie (Jay) Boykin; brother, Lois Gifford (June) Harrell; 24 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Serving and honoring Mr. Harrell was Mitchell Tagert, Michael Harrell, Justin Boykin, Ricky Harrison, John Harrell and Nickey Harrell.
