Dorothy Arp

Dorothy Marie Bowen Arp, age 74, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held from 12-1 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Arp was born May 4, 1945 in Wichita, KS to C E Bowen and Ruby Thomas Bowen. She was married to James Arp. Mrs. Arp worked for University Medical Center in Jackson, MS in Graphic Design. She was a parishioner of St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pearl, MS. She will be remembered by her family as a kind and grateful mother, grandmother and friend. She always thought of others before herself. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Arp was preceded in death by her husband, James Arp; parents, C E Bowen and Ruby Thomas Bowen; sisters, Diane Bradshaw and Linda Robb.

Mrs. Arp is survived by her daughters, Jamye Arp, Jimye (Rick) Ford and Joye (Steve) Smith; sister, Claudia (Bill) Sears; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
