Dorothy Hartford

Dorothy Shedd Hartford, age 91 of Brandon, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11:30am at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with visitation starting at 10:30am. Burial will be in Rehobeth Baptist Church Cemetery.

Dorothy was born in Rankin County, MS on January 2, 1930 to the late William Thomas Shedd and Susie Kate Williams Shedd. She worked for the Camarillo School System in Camarillo, CA, and the Jackson Public School System. Dorothy also was a former member of McDowell Road Baptist Church.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ewell Hartford; five sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Michael Howard; grandchildren, Carson and Charlotte; sister, Ruth Logan numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
