Dorothy Means

Dorothy Yvonne Hartzog Means, 82, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS.  Services will be 11am Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Rock Bluff Baptist Church with visitation starting at 9:30am at the church.  Burial will follow in New Prospect Cemetery.

Mrs. Means was a former member of Alta Woods Presbyterian Church in Jackson and also Antioch Baptist Church in Brandon where she served in the church nursery for many years.  She was an active member of Rock Bluff Baptist Church.  She loved her grandchildren, taking care of her flower gardens and animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Edward Hartzog and Clara Etta Robinson Hartzog and 6 siblings of Lawrence County.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, C.H. Means, Jr.; children, Debbie Means Minton and Phillip (Sara) Means; brother, Gene Hartzog of Jackson, MS; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

The family wishes a very special thanks to her caretakers, Ethelean Parker and Precious Rosse for the love and care given to her.
