Dorothy Mae Prestage, 82, a resident of Polkville near Morton died Monday, August 1, 2011 at home surrounded by her family. Visitation was held 5-9 pm Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home. Funeral services were held 11 am Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the funeral home with burial in the Oak Grove Church of God Cemetery. Rev. Barron Price officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Prestage was a native of Decatur, MS. She was the daughter of Edmond and Odessa Bradford Hegwood. She was married to Lee Russell Prestage. Mrs. Prestage was Baptist by faith and she loved the Lord with all heart. She loved her family and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Prestage was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Russell Prestage, son, Benny Charles Prestage, brother, Allen Hegwood, sisters, Florence Burks and Katie Sue Todd, and 5 grandchildren.

Mrs. Prestage is survived by her children, Patricia Ann Derrick of Polkville, Dorothy L. Evans of Polkville, Barbara S. Mitchell of Byram, Carol D. Trudeau of Ellisville, Linda M. Prestage of San Antonio, TX, Rebecca Spangler of Pelahatchie, Danny Ray Prestage of Morton, Richard Lee Prestage of Morton, Robert Earl Prestage of Houston, TX, and Jerry Prestage of Morton; brother, Johnny Hegwood of MI; 31 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
