Dorothy Mae “Nanny” Wilson, 81, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the First United Pentecostal Church in Brandon, MS with interment in Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland, MS. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Mrs. Wilson was born May 25, 1937 to Samuel Vernon Chisolm and Virgie Mae Saxton Chisolm. She was married to Otha Lee Wilson. Mrs. Wilson worked 25 years at St. Dominic Hospital. She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Brandon, MS and the VFW Post 1. She will be remembered by her family as a strong woman who loved to fish and play bingo. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Otha Lee Wilson; daughter, Lucille Shores; son, Bud Wilson; parents, Samuel Vernon Chisolm and Virgie Mae Saxton Chisolm; siblings, Leroy, Phillip, Louis, Jim Nix and Vernon.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her children, Betty (Ronnie) Sullivan, Joann Foshee, John Thomas (Brenda) Wilson and Kattie (Timmy) Wilson; sisters, Vivian (AG) Atkinson, Katherine (Jimmy) Charles; brother, Frank (Audrey) Chisolm; 18 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
