Funeral services for Mrs. Dot Randle will be conducted Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 12:00 pm from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Ellis and Bro. Glenn Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch-Steele Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 am - 11:45 am at the funeral home.
Mrs. Randle was born in Scott County on October 17, 1947 to her parents, William Roy May and Imogene Ruth Hollingsworth May, who precede her in death. She passed away at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the age of 69.
A resident of the Brandon area, the Randle family made their home in the Starkville before moving to this area over twenty years ago. Mrs. Dot was a retired sales clerk in the jewelry department at Dillard’s. She attended the United Pentecostal Church of Pearl.
Always doing for others, Mrs. Randle will be remembered as a loving and caring woman who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid collector cow and angel figurines and had a great passion for collecting antiques.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years: Bill Randle of Brandon; two children: Jennifer (Derek) Randle of Pelahatchie and Joshua Randle of Pearl; one sister: Zilpha “Sister” Reid of Forest; three grandchildren: Jessica Smith, Heather Smith, and Matthew Smith, all of Pelahatchie; and two nephews: Shannon Reid and Dewayne Reid.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Reid, Dewayne Reid, Derek Smith, Corbett Hollingsworth, Stacy Sessums, and Scott Sessums.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Matthew Smith, Zach Reid, Reuben Reid, and Cole Reid.
