VISITATION: 4-7 PM SUNDAY AT OTT AND LEE IN MORTON AND 9 AM MONDAY AT ROCK BLUFF BAPTIST CHURCH

Douglas L. Bradshaw, 79, a resident of Polkville died, January 10, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. Visitation was held 4 pm until 7 pm Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 10 am Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Rock Bluff Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Donnie Stuart officiated. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.


Mr. Bradshaw was a native of Smith Co. He was the son of Tallmadge D. and Maggie Lott Bradshaw. He was married 36 years to Betty H. Bradshaw. He was a member of the Rock Bluff Baptist Church in Daniel, MS. Mr. Bradshaw worked 42 years for Armstrong Corporation. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He loved hunting, fishing and going to hear bluegrass music. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.


Mr. Bradshaw was preceded in death by his parents, Tallmadge D. and Maggie Lott Bradshaw; brothers, Ivy Bradshaw and William Bradshaw and sister, Camalee Ainsworth.

Mr. Bradshaw is survived by his wife, Betty H. Bradshaw; children, Renee (Barry) Wood of Flowood, Wendy Bradshaw of Pearl and Dwayne Bradshaw of Pearl; step children, Kathleen Barnes of Jackson, Debra Lynn Goins of Jackson and Ellis M. (Dana) Barnes, Jr. of Jackson; sisters, Margie (Jewel) Bradshaw of Puckett, Margaret Bridges of Memphis, TN and Ruth Williams of Brandon; brothers, Flynt (Brenda) of Puckett and Junior Bradshaw of Brandon; 2 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 3 step great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.


Serving as pallbearers were Dwayne Bradshaw, Ellis Barnes, Barry Wood, Matt Wood, Jason Wood, Zack Goins and Greg Kelly. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Paul Means and Jewel Thornton.
