Douglas Easterling

Douglas Clyde Easterling, age 68, a resident of Forest died Thursday August 30, 2012 in Forest following a brief illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 2pm Saturday September 1, 2012 from the chapel of the OTT & LEE Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Antioch-Steele Cemetery. Visitation was held from 9am til 2pm Saturday September 1, 2012 at the funeral home. Bro. James Mitchell, Bro. Reggie Tatum and Elder George Gardner officiated.
Mr. Easterling was born June 19, 1944, in Pelahatchie, MS to, Jeff Easterling and Sally Reeves Easterling. His parents have preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Devera Brown Easterling, a son, Clyde D. Easterling, both of Forest, and two daughters, Shelia Fuller (Charles) and Merl Higginbotham (Charlie) all of Shuqualak, MS. Mr. Easterling also leaves a legacy of seven grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren; two grandchildren and four step grand-children.
Pallbearers were John Hardin, Jamie Hardin, Odell Stagg, Charles Wesley Nabors, Poncho Guzman and E. J. McCrory. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Joe Greer, Josh Newbold and Bobby Ray Easterling.
