Douglas Ray McFadden, 69, passed away Tues. April 2, 2013 at the G.V. Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held Thurs. April 4, 2013 from 5pm.-8pm. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and from 11:30am.-12:15pm. Fri. April 5, 2013 at the Pelahatchie Baptist Church in Pelahatchie, MS. Funeral Services are 12:30pm. Fri. April 5, 2013 at the church with burial to follow in the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS.
Mr. McFadden was born in Forrest City, AR and has lived in Rankin County since 1970. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Mr. McFadden was the first owner of Daily Made Donuts in Brandon, MS and was currently the owner of Action Fire and Safety. He was a member of the Pelahatchie Baptist Church and was also a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. McFadden is survived by his wife, Mary McFadden of Pelahatchie; three sons, Jim McFadden (Lisa) of Brandon, Tim McFadden (Cindy) of Madison and Michael McFadden (Amy) of Pelahatchie; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Nellie Mae Edge; his sister, Carolyn Ponder and his brother, Tom Edge.
