Douglas Maurice Singley, 84, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Miss. Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation is 5-8 pm Friday, October 16, 2015 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 10 am Saturday at the funeral home with burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
Mr. Singley was a native of Montgomery County and a longtime resident of Rankin County. He was a Godly Man and was a member of First Baptist Church in Pearl. Mr. Singley retired from Lucent Technology after many years of service and was a Korean War Army Veteran. Mr. Singley enjoyed beagling, winning many ribbons and trophies and also enjoyed dancing.
Survivors include his sons, Gary Singley (Renea) of Pearl and Marty Singley (Debbie) of Pearl; loving companion, Willie Carter of Pearl; grandchildren, David and Will Gerald, Ronnie, Bubba and Jessica Sumrall and 18 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gayla Jean Singley in 2007; parents, Ed and Lottie Singley and step-father, William Giles Keller.
