Dudley Wayne Jaggar, 83, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at his home in Brandon, MS.  Visitation will be 12 – 1pm Friday, March 15, 2024 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.  Funeral services are to follow at 1pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Graveside service with Military Honors will follow in Brandon Memorial Gardens.

Dudley was born in Corinth, MS on December 23, 1940, to Hervey LeGrand Jaggar and Ora “Jean” Bynum Jaggar.  He grew up in Corinth, MS and graduated from Corinth High School in 1959.  Mr. Jaggar joined the Navy that same year and was a Naval Meteorologist stationed on the Coral Sea Aircraft carrier. He met his wife, Jeri, while serving and they were married in 1963.  After being honorably discharged, they moved to Memphis, TN where they started their family and lived until 1980, then  later relocated to Brownsburg, IN where he worked & retired as a project manager from RCA.  He lived out his final years in Brandon, MS.

He loved to go fishing, going to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, golfing, and woodworking. He and his wife Jeri had a passion for traveling and spending time with their family. For several years he was the caregiver for his late wife, Jeri who preceded him in death in 2016.   In the words of his commanding Navy officer in 1963… “To summarize his overall performance of duty, behavior, attitude, and appearance, I only need to make one statement-They don’t come any better than Jaggar.”  

Survivors include his daughter, Kathy Jaggar Lewis and husband Jeremy; David Leslie Jaggar and wife Mary Jo; sister, Betty “BJ” May and husband Steve; brother, Dr. William “Bill” Jaggar and wife Melody; four grandchildren, David LeGrand Jaggar, Bonnie Brooke Jaggar, Lindsey Nicole Lewis, and Nathaniel “Nate” Owen Lewis.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  Mr. Jaggar was preceded in death by his parents, son, Larry Wayne Jaggar, and brother, Richard Jaggar.
