Bryant Edwin “Ed” Brown, age 60 and a lifelong resident of Louin died Thursday, February 10, 2022, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Monday, February 14, 2022, from the chapel of the OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest with interment to follow in the McDonald Cemetery in the Good Hope community in Leake County. Visitation will be held from 5pm till 7pm Sunday, February 13, 2022, at the funeral home, and again Monday morning beginning at 10am till the service time.
Ed was born to his parents Bryant L Brown and Dorothy Lewis Brown in Canton, MS on March 16, 1961. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry and had retired from the Mississippi Forestry Commission in 2017. Being a Forester, he loved the outdoors and experiencing all nature had to offer, including turkey hunting; he loved calling turkeys with his collection of turkey callers. He loved people and was always willing to help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his 2 sisters, Charlene Brown Beck (Mark) of Louin, Shari M. Tucker (Billy J.) of Marietta, GA. He also leaves behind his uncle Frank Lewis of Lena, children, Ashley Ratcliff and Nicole Forbes, 4 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Pallbearers are Leslie “Opie” Blackwell, Paul Tadlock, Chester Hunt, Buddy Weems, Larry Smith, and Justin Walker. Honorary pallbearers are James Bryant, Frank Lewis, and Quentin Brown.
