MR. ED GRAY

PELAHATCHIE

Mr. Choice Edward Gray, age 81, a resident of Pelahatchie, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at his residence. Visitation was held from 5-9pm on Sunday, October 10th at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held at 2pm Monday, October 11, 2010 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Holly Bush Cemetery. Rev. Glenn Curtis officiated the services.

Ed was a resident of Rankin County for 67 years. He loved gardening and working in the yard with his tractor. He loved to be in the serenity of nature running trotlines. His family will most remember him for his kindness to others and wanting to help others before he did for his self. He will be greatly missed by all that loved and knew him.

Preceded in death by his parents, Robert Rural Gray and Lillie Birdie Lee Massey Gray; daughter, Dessa Ann Gray; brother, Fred Gray; sisters, Bobbie Faye Bowman and Helen Loyce Gray; grandson, James Grayson Harrell and previous wife, Nancy Odessa Gray.

Survivors include his loving wife, Carlene Gray of Pelahatchie; 7 daughters, Nancy Ladd (Bud) of Philadelphia, Birdie Lee Jones (Gary) of Brandon, Mary Frances Berry (Gene) of Alabama, Eddie Marie Phillips of Pelahatchie, Kathy Seymore (Larry) of Arkansas, Annie Wilkerson (Junior) of Union and Gloria Kaszubowski (David) of Philadelphia; 4 sons, Jimmie Harrell (Frances) of Puckett, David Harrell of Pelahatchie, Junior Branning of California and Eddie Joe Branning of Philadelphia; 2 sisters, Dorothy Louise Harrell (Jack) of Morton, Radie Irene Trussell of Brandon; brother, Sylvester Gray (Lillian) of Pelahatchie; 41 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Daniel G. Berry, James E. Berry, Mark Ladd, Michael Majerick, James Choice Bowman, John Chris Bowman, Bubba Boykin and David Harrell.
