VISITATION 10 AM WEDNESDAY AT THE CHURCH
Edith Marie Wright, 94, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at The Nichols Center in Madison. Visitation is 10 am Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Providence Lutheran Church in Smith County. Services will follow at 11 am Wednesday at the church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Wright was a native of the Burns Community in Smith County and a longtime resident of the Jackson area. She was a member of Providence Lutheran Church and worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Morris Luggage and Gift Shop in Jackson. Mrs. Wright loved her family very much and one of her favorite pastimes was enjoying nature while working in her yard.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Kent Hawkins of Ridgeland, Donna Kate Parker of Alabaster, Alabama, Sid Tadlock of Brookhaven, Susan Williams of Breckinridge, Colorado, Tommy Tadlock of Brandon and Wanda Foster of Brandon.
Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Wright; siblings, Labar Caughman, Melba Tadlock, Windham Grady Caughman, Edna Earl Hawkins and Sybil Erwin.
