Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Westbrook Salem will be conducted Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Forest with Bro. Mike Walker and Bro. Dennis Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Lemon Christian Church Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Visitation will be Monday, April 6, 2015 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home and Tuesday beginning at 10 A.M. prior to the funeral service.
Mrs. Salem, age 80, a lifetime resident of Forest, died Saturday, April 04, 2015 at her home. She was retired librarian from the Newton School System. She was a member of Lemon Christian Church and also enjoyed fellowship with the pastor and her friends at Goodwater Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, reading, and visiting with her family and friends. She will be missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband: S.G. “Sam” Salem; her parents: Henry & Edna “Dutch” Westbrook; one sister: Eunice Westbrook James; four brothers: Cliff Westbrook, Barney Westbrook, Bill Westbrook, and Edgar “Mudge” Westbrook; and four nephews: Mickey Westbrook, Eugene Westbrook, David Westbrook, and Tom Westbrook.
Survivors include one niece: Dimple McGehee of McComb; four nephews: Stevie James of Laurel; James Henry Westbrook of Raleigh; Pat Westbrook and Douglas Westbrook, both of Lemon; a host of great nieces and great nephews.
