Edward Paul Everitt, 81, a resident of Pearl, MS passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS. Visitation will be held 4-6 pm Monday, November 13, 2017 and 10 am Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Everitt was a native of Scott County. He was the son of Charlie Germany Everitt and Audra Perry Everitt. He was married to Opal Munn Everitt. Mr. Everitt was in the construction industry all of his working career. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson, MS. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force. Mr. Everitt loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Everitt was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Evelyne White.
Mr. Everitt is survived by his wife, Opal Munn Everitt; his children, April E. (Michael) Harwell, Jean Everette and Mary E. (Robert) Bloodworth; grandchildren, Jace Harwell, Ryan (Emily) Lee, Andrew (Lauren) Harwell, Robert “Tripp” Bloodworth and Olivia Bloodworth; sister, Ruth Gray; brother, Charles Everitt; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
