Edward Cleveland James, Jr., passed away on Wednesday, March 02, 2016, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be 5-6pm Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Clinton, MS with the funeral service starting at 6pm. The Divine Liturgy will be 10am Friday, March 4, 2016 at Holy Resurrection with interment to follow in the Clinton Cemetery.
Ed was born on January 11, 1959 in Newton, MS where he attended Newton Academy. He was a graduate of East Central Mississippi Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Computer Technology. Ed said one of the best decisions that he ever made was becoming a member at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Clinton, MS where he enjoyed his church family.
Ed enjoyed working with computer systems at Raytheon Space and Airborne System, Northrop Grumman Corporation and Verizon as a Computer Support Specialist.
Survivors include his sisters, Lynn James Varner of Brandon, MS, Patricia Claire James Marshall (Steve) of Houston, TX and Marie James Kilpatrick (Daniel) of Louin, MS; nieces and nephews, Dacy MacKenzie, Ray Varner, Ryan Varner, Ethan Kilpatrick, Eli Kilpatrick, Evan Kilpatrick, Elizabeth Kilpatrick and Holley Dyer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Cleveland James, Sr. and Hazel “Joyce” Bounds James.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Clinton, MS.
