Edward S. “Sammy” Robinson age 84, died Friday May 30, 2014 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, MS.

Funeral Services were conducted at 2:00pm Sunday June 1, 2014 at New Liberty Baptist Church in Branch with interment at the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5pm-8pm Saturday May 31, 2014 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton and 1pm-2pm Sunday June 1, 2014 at New Liberty Baptist Church in Branch, MS. Rev. Paul Smith officiated the services.

Mr. Robinson was born in Morton on June 6, 1929 to his parents William Samuel and Katherin Gordon Robinson and lived in this area all of his life. He was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Branch. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for over 4 years. He was a member of Woodman of the World. He worked for Peavey Electronics as a factory worker for fifteen years and retired in 1994.

Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents, William Samuel and Katherin Gordon Robinson; son, John Miller; sisters, Viola Means, Mae Moore, Dorothy Nutt, and Ruth Frazier; brother, Noah Robinson.

Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife, Gillye Blackburn Robinson; brother, Simon Robinson of Lena, MS; granddaughter, Amanda Lynn Renfroe (Michael White) of Pearl; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Ken McCollough, Brad McCollough, Bruce Mills, Jimmy Westberry, Michael White, and Jeff Latham.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
