Mr. Elbert D. Pace, age 91, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at the V.A. Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation was held 5-8pm Monday, March 26, 2012 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and was held Tuesday from 8:30am - 12 noon at the funeral home and then from 1pm -3pm at Cross Roads Baptist Church. Funeral Service was 3pm Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Cross Roads Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Bro. John Vaughn and Bro. Bobby Smith officiated the services. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mr. Pace was born in Rankin County in 1921. He will always be remembered for his support of the East Rankin Academy Patriots ballgames. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bessie Pace; sisters, Sadie Dunaway, Ruth Bullock and Odell Westmoreland; brothers, Joel "Dick" Pace and L.C. Pace.

He is survived by his wife Ruby M. Pace of Pelahatchie; sisters-in-law, Marie Harpe and Betty Hayman; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Harpe, Donald Westbrook, Jim Huff, John Bush, Michael Huff and Jeff Gray.
