Noble Elbon Johnston, 65, a resident of Pearl, Mississippi passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, Mississippi. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Friday, August 3, 2018 at the funeral home.
Mr. Johnston was born September 20, 1952 to Noble V. Johnston and Juanita Stuart Johnston. He was married to Mary Harrison Johnston. Mr. Johnston was in the sheet metal local 406 many years and owned his own Pallet Company. He was a member of Grandview Baptist Church in Pearl, MS. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, woodworking and being in the outdoors. He was involved with the Touchdown Club and was a Boy Scout leader for many years. He will be remembered by his family as one who never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Johnston was preceded in death by his parents, Noble V. Johnston and Juanita Stuart Johnston and his brother, Ted Johnston.
Mr. Johnston is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Harrison Johnston; son, Brian (Alana) Johnston of Brandon, Mississippi; grandson, Myles Johnston of Brandon, Mississippi; sister, Nan (Bill) Coleman of Irving, Texas; brother, Willey (Pat) Johnston of Lake, Mississippi; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Memorials may be made to the Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi or Saint Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
