Eleanor Rommerdale

Eleanor Jean Rommerdale, better known as Ellie or Mimi to all who loved her, passed away peacefully at her home on March 19, 2021.  Ellie, the oldest of 10 children, was born on December 25, 1943, in Utica, New York. She married the love of her life, Eric Rommerdale in 1964. After his retirement from the Navy in 1978, they made their home in Brandon, MS where they remained until his passing in 2002. She is survived by her 2 children, Tina Marie Wilkins (Mike) of Madison, MS and Chad Vernon Rommerdale (Ashleigh) of Brandon, MS, her 5 grandchildren, Brittany and Brody Wilkins of Madison, Railey Rommerdale of Star, MS, Anna-Claire and Chandler Dickerson of Brandon, MS.  After her retirement in 2005 from Regions Bank, she enjoyed spending time with her best friends Sue, Ann, Faye, Rebecca and Joy. Ellie spoiled her grandchildren and was their  #1 fan during all of their activities. She also enjoyed gardening, reading and painting.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. A celebration of Ellie’s life will be held Monday, March 22, 2021, at 12:00 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home and a graveside service at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
