Elinor Applewhite Naron, 90, went to be with her Lord on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Hospice Ministries, Inc. in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 5 until 8 pm and Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 10 am until the 11 am Chapel Service at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS.
Elinor was born on October 14, 1925 to the late Eric Lamar and Doris Greely Applewhite in Jackson, MS.
She worked for over 20 years with the Mississippi State Tax Commission in Jackson. Elinor and her late husband, Charles Oren Naron loved to travel all over the United States and also in other Countries. She had been a resident of Brandon for over 14 years and was a former resident of Jackson. She was a former member of Alta Woods Presbyterian Church in Jackson and was a current member of Pearl Presbyterian Church in Pearl, MS.
Survivors include two children, Charlotte Reeves (Monte) of Jackson, and Charles Naron (Marilyn) of Brandon; three grandchildren, Stephanie Brantley (Jay) of Brandon, Brooke Naron of Biloxi, and Ashley Willoughby (Mack) of Madison; five great grandchildren, Rachel, Palmer, and Claire Brantley and Ryan Lea and Dax Willoughby; and two sister in laws, Lanora Naron Sauls of Clinton and Martha Applewhite of Brandon.
