Elizabeth Ann Alexander, 64, a resident of Polkville near Morton died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Scott Regional Hospital in Morton. Funeral services were held 2 pm Saturday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held 5-8 pm Friday and 12-2 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Rev. Aaron Safley officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Alexander was a native of Greenville, MS. She was the daughter of Warren Marion Smith and Minnie Lee Suber Smith. She was married to Charley “Chuck” Alexander. Mrs. Alexander was a Beautician by trade and served in that line of work for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Polkville. She loved people and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Mrs. Alexander loved her family and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her parents, Warren Marion and Minnie Lee Suber Smith, husband, Charley “Chuck” Alexander, sisters, Effie Lee Sandifer and Annie Pearl Treadwell, and brother, Samuel Lee Smith.

Mrs. Alexander is survived by her children, Paul “John” McCain (Debra) of Polkville, Regina Hall (Henry) of Polkville and Charley Dewayne Alexander (Sandra) of Lake; brother, Winford Earl Smith (Faye) of Lorena; sisters, Margie Louise Holland (Joe) of OK and Dorothy Marie Carter (Sonny) of AR and Reda Faye Weeks (Ricky) of Oakland; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
