Elizabeth Ann Hebert Johnson, 83, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. A memorial service is scheduled for 4:00pm Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Richland. Visitation will begin at 3:00pm Wednesday.
Elizabeth was born and raised in Gretna, LA. She made her home in Florence, MS in 1962 and lived there until her passing. She was a proud mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was also a proud graduate of Belhaven University.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Johnson, Jr.; son, Carson W. Johnson; and brother, Freddie Hebert.
She is survived by her six children, Thomas L. Johnson, III, Margaret E. Grantham, Eric L. Johnson (Katherine M. Gorove), Theresa Murdick (Louis), Vernon M. Johnson (Sharon), and Matthew C. Johnson; one sister, Evelyn Schexnayder; and six grandchildren, Thomas Grantham, Ian Murdick, Andrew Murdick, Rushmore Johnson, Anthony Johnson, and Zachary Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Belhaven University’s Fitzhugh Hall Restoration, 1500 Peachtree St. Jackson, MS 39202.
