Elizabeth "Rose" Mcraney

Elizabeth “Rose” Shaw McRaney, 84, passed away at her home on Thurs. Apr. 21, 2022. Visitation will be held on Fri. Apr. 22, 2022 from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and on Sat. Apr. 23, 2022 from 10am-10:45am at Brandon First United Methodist Church in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 11am Sat. Apr. 23, 2022 at Brandon First United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS. Rev. Scott Larson will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Robert McRaney, Mark McRaney, Todd McRaney, Kyle McRaney, Bobby Shaw and Jordan Videkovich.

Rose was born on July 29, 1937 in Winchester, MS to the late Robert Louis Shaw and Doris Elizabeth McKee Shaw. She taught first grade school for a total of 13 years in which 11 years of those years were at Key Elementary School in Jackson, MS and the other 2 years at Brooklyn Agricultural School in Brooklyn, MS. Rose was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brandon, MS where she was also a member of the Joy Sunday School Class. She enjoyed going fishing and spending time with her family.

Rose is survived by her husband, Dr. Kenneth “Ken” Allen McRaney; three sons, Robert Allen McRaney, Dr. Charles Mark McRaney (Emily) and Todd Antony McRaney (Amy); five grandchildren, Parker McRaney, Kyle McRaney, Taylor McRaney, Katie Rose McRaney and Sarah McRaney; two brothers, Robert “Bob” Shaw (Mary), Mike Shaw (Donna) and a sister, Jean Mattura.
