Ella Bee Freeman, 90, a former longtime resident of Brandon, MS died Sunday, October 3, 2010 at her home in Byram, MS. Visitation is 5 - 8 pm Monday, October 4, 2010 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Funeral Services are 11 am Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in Oakdale Cemetery in Brandon. Rev. Bernard Nail will officiate the Services.
Ella Bee Mayfield was born on April 6, 1920 in Gallman, MS to the late J. C. and Nancy K. Barnhart Mayfield. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed embroidery work which she generously shared with friends and family. She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, of 65 years, Fred Lee Freeman; and her daughter and son in law, Nancy and Milton Bryant. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Robert Bass of Prentiss, MS, Judy and James Nichols of Byram, MS; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Lesa Freeman of Brandon, MS; seven grandchildren, Anita Lee, Wayne Bass, Shanna Gentry, Amanda Bockelie, Jennifer Brown, Michael Nichols, and Michele Campbell; and nine great grandchildren, soon to be ten.
