Ella Rae Martin, 80, a resident of Magee, MS passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at home. Funeral services were held 2 pm Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Richland, MS with interment in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Simpson County. Visit was held 5-8 pm Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the funeral home. Rev. Bascom Sills, Sr. and Rev. Roger Lee officiated the services.
Mrs. Martin was born March 10, 1937 to Bert Morrow and Myrtle Phillips Morrow. She was a member of the Strong River Baptist Church. Mrs. Martin was married to J.C. Martin. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents, Bert Morrow and Myrtle Phillips Morrow; husband, J.C. Martin and her son, Jessie Williamson.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her children, Ann (E.J.) Dickerson, Albert (Lisa) Williamson, Barbara (James) Dunn, Jimmy Dale Sills, Bascom (Sandra) Sills, Sr., Stan Martin, Debbie (John) Palmer, Allison (Scott) Lee and Delton (Deborah) Martin; sister, Mary (Wayne) Aikens; brothers, Cecil (Rose) Morrow and Gary (Ginnell) Morrow; 25 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Serving and honoring as pallbearers were Brent Hornback, John Palmer, Bobo Sills, Bradley Sills, Jeffery Boleware, Joseph Boleware, James Boleware, Jay Phillips, Tiffany Hornback, Aidan Phillips and Martin White.
