Ella Sanford

Ella Kathryn Moore Sanford, 90, passed away on September 2, 2021, at Brandon Nursing and Rehab. Visitation will be 11am Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with the service at 12 Noon in the Chapel of the funeral home.  Graveside services will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park South in Jackson, MS.

Mrs. Sanford was born February 9, 1931.  She retired from Jackson Public Schools System as Secretary to the Athletic Director.  Mrs. Sanford was a long-time member of West View Baptist Church in Jackson, MS and currently a member of Brandon Baptist Church in Brandon, MS.

Gardening and camping brought her great joy.  She and her husband Marshall were members and officers of the Metro Rambling Good Sam Club.  They enjoyed traveling across the United States, including Alaska as well as parts of Canada.

Survivors include her son, Robert Marshall (Kathie) Sanford; grandchildren, Carlee Sanford, Ashley (Sam) Mangialardi, Kevin (Amanda) Sanford, Matthew Sanford, and Ryan (Danielle) Sanford; great grandchildren, Brycen Sanford, Nate Sanford, Anthony Mangialardi, Nicholas Mangialardi, Andrew Mangialardi, Dylan Sanford, and Grayson Sanford.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Marshall Sanford; parents Carl and Ena Searcy Moore and son, Charles Larry Sanford.
