Ella Louise Goldsby

August 7, 1931 — November 28, 2020

Morton, MS

Ella Louise Goldsby "Granny" 89 went to be with the Lord on November 28, 2020. A private family service will be scheduled at a later date due to COVID restrictions.

She was born in Gormania, West Virginia in 1931 and grew up in Harrisburg, PA. In 1952 Ella was married to her soulmate, Willis R. Goldsby. They were married for 64 years before Willis preceded her to Heaven in 2015.

Ella had a sweet heart for her Lord and was always doing things for others. She was one of the most caring, loving and selfless people you ever met. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A faithful member First Baptist Church of Morton, Ella enjoyed and loved her church family. She also loved going to downtown Morton to play dominoes with the "Ladies of the Round Table" and work puzzles. The family cannot thank their dear friends, Yvonne and P.J. enough for loving Ella like their own. Addison and Tucker Lindsey considered her their special gift.  Nothing made Ella happier than being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and special friends.

Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Willis R. Goldsby and her parents Alfred and Myrtle Baum. She is survived by her daughters,  Linda Goldsby of Tupelo, Cindy Craig of Morton, Susan McConnell (Mark) of Brandon and Jennifer Stingley (Randy Joe) of Morton;  Grandchildren,  Michael Craig (Brooke), Chance Craig, and Sydney McConnell; Great Grandchildren, Hayden, Michael Jr., Ella, Jack, Tatum and Ethan.

In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial donations be given to First Baptist Church of Morton or Heart and Hand Senior Center of Morton.
