Ellaween Moore Dennis, 56, a resident of Polkville died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at her home. Visitation was held from 5pm Thursday, February 7, 2013 until the 2 pm service on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Oak Grove Church of God in Polkville. Rev. Otha Dennis, Rev. Robert Gatewood and Mr. Adam Cumberland officiated the services. Services were entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mrs. Dennis was a native of Taylorsville. She worked in Retail Sales at the Discount Depot. She was a member of the Oak Grove Church of God in Polkville. Mrs. Dennis enjoyed working, playing in the yard with her children. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Dennis was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Jessie Lee “Red” Moore, parents, John Thomas “Tom” and Mary “Mott” Hill, mother-in-law, Myrtle Faye Dennis.
Mrs. Dennis is survived by her husband, Gregory Clark Dennis, Sr.; children, Bobby Ray (Lynn) Hill, Sherie Lynn (Joe) McGehee, Jason Lee (Crystal) Moore, Jessie Lee (Heather) Moore, Jr., William Dwayne “Pete” Wilkerson, II, Candise Dennis and Gregory Clark Dennis, Jr.; grandchildren, John Thomas Hill, Dillon Vancor, Alyssa Hill, Joseph McGehee, Chelsie Wilkerson, Caylin Moore, Ashton Moore, Carson Moore, Audrianna Moore, Jessie Lee Moore, III, Jayden Moore, Keagan Bryant and Ashton Tatum; sisters, Erma Louise (James) Jones and Ruth (David-deceased) Jones; brothers, Jessie Lee (Cathy) Russell, Jr. and Michael (Connie) Coley; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Joseph McGehee, Matthew Russell, David Tatum, Obie Jones, Ryan Jones, Brandon Jones and servings as an honorary pallbearer was Sam Moore.
