Eloise Smith Purvis, 87, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Magee, MS. Visitation is 5 – 7 pm today, June 7, 2013, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Richland, MS. Funeral Services are 10:30 am Saturday, June 8, 2013 from the Chapel of Ott & Lee with burial in the Florence Cemetery.
Eloise was born on July 22, 1925 to Preston and Cleora Smith in Florence, MS. She was retired from Western Union and was a life-long resident of Florence. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Florence, MS.
Eloise was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Ralph, Wayne, and Phillip.
Survivors include her husband of almost 61 years, Bill Purvis of Florence; a son, Phil Purvis (Sandra) of Booneville, MS; and one grandson, Bradley Purvis of Birmingham, AL.
