Elsie Mae Harrell Craig, 84, of Canton and Brandon, MS passed away April 24, 2011 at the Madison County Nursing Home in Canton, MS. Visitation was Monday, April 25, 2011 from 5 – 8 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services were 10 am Tuesday, April 26, 2011 from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with burial in Allen’s Chapel Cemetery in the Ludlow, Ms community of Scott County, MS. Rev. Sonny Bradshaw will Officiate. Pallbearers were Randle Dunn, Jason Dunn, Tony Grayson, Jon Scott, Wayne Irwin and Christopher Sanders.

Elsie Mae Harrell was born on December 23, 1926 in Leesburg, MS to the late James Monroe Harrell and the late Mary Ann Shoemaker Harrell. She was a loving mother and friend and she loved going to Church, sewing, quilting and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Craig; brothers, Floyd Harrell, Bryant Harrell, Hubert Harrell, Cleve (Buddy) Harrell, Earl Harrell, Scott Harrell and Archie Lee Craig; sisters, Essie Mae Harrell and Lillian Fitzhugh.

She is survived by her children, Carolyn Craig Grayson (Larry) of Brandon, MS, Phyllis Ann craig Dunn (Eugene) of Canton, MS, John Cecil Craig of Pearl, MS and Mack Alexander Craig of Brandon, MS; a sister, Zelma Harrell Ray of Goshen Springs, MS; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
