Emmitt Goodson

Emmitt Goodson, age 76, and a lifetime resident of Homewood died Saturday, June 5, 2021.

Funeral services are at 12pm Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Ott & Lee Chapel in Forest.  Rev. Tam Maddox will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 10am til the service time.  The final resting place is in the Homewood Methodist Cemetery.

Emmitt was born on January 27,  1945, in Scott County to his parents, Marshall Goodson and Anna Crout Goodson.  Emmitt was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.  He enjoyed a long career in the logging business until he retired.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed his friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his soul-mate wife Sandra Sorey of Homewood,  5 children; Brian Goodson (Rae) of Louin, Bibby Goodson (Andrea), Sammy Goodson (Valerie), Tony Goodson, and Tina Batte (Frankie) all of Pulaski.  He is also survived by one brother Herbert Goodson and a sister Marie Barnes both of Pulaski.  He leaves behind a legacy of 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
