Ernest Brian Alber, 60, passed away on June 26, 2017, at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. A memorial services will be announced at a later date.
Mr. Alber was born in Grand Junction, CO on August 11, 1956. Before moving to Mississippi to start a family, he owned and operated a successful auto repair shop in Albuquerque, NM.
His family knew him as “Ernie”, but most of his friends in MS called him Brian. He was known as a skilled auto and diesel mechanic in Attala County and Neshoba County.
Survivors include his son, Nathan Alber (Taylor) of Brandon, MS; daughter, Shelley Statler (Brian)of Rainbow, TX; grandsons, Coen, Ames and Luca Alber, Scotty and Boyd Statler; sisters, Beverly Eston and Carol Alber. He was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Alber; brother, Ted Alber and parents, Fred William Alber and Joanne Louise Hyde.
