Essie M. King, 93, passed away Sat. April 24, 2010 at the Brandon Court Nursing Home in Brandon. Visitation will be held Tues. April 27, 2010 from 9am.-10:30am. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Funeral Services are 10:30am. Tues. April 27, 2010 at the funeral home with interment to follow in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Jackson.
Mrs. King was born in Coffeeville and has been a resident of the metro area since 1955. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton and also enjoyed needle working and gardening.
Mrs. King is survived by her son, Floyd E. King and wife Norma of Jackson; two sisters, Bessie Weatherley of Yazoo City and Violet Moxley of Boone, NC.; one brother, Millard Woods of Matheson; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd King; one daughter, Shirley Dickerson and one son, Hall King.
