Ethel Jeffcoats Masters, age 100, passed away on April 14, 2016 at MS Care Center of Morton. Visitation was held 12-1:50pm Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Services were at 2pm Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Contrell Cemetery.
Ethel was born in Scott County on June 10, 1915. She loved serving the Lord and teaching and ministering to others, even when she was a resident of Mississippi Care Center. She had been a resident there since November 20, 1998. Ethel served as a missionary in the West Indies, South Dakota, Grand Cayman, Alaska, Hawaii and Richton, MS. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Preceded in death by parents, William Thomas Jeffcoats and Rachel Baker Jeffcoats; sisters, Mattie Conlee, Lula Coward, Mary Estelle O'cain and Margie Burkes; 1 brother, Buford Jeffcoats.
Survived by sister, Lois Troeger of New Mexico; step daughters, Patricia Scifert and Gladys Rushing of Reno, Nevada; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Matt McCurdy, Chris Phillips, Ben McCurdy, Todd King.
Memorials may be made in her name to the church of your choice.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home of Morton.
