Mr. Ethel Cleveland Warren, age 80. a resident of Pulaski, passed away on Monday April 25, 2011 at home following an extended illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 10am Wednesday April 27, 2011 from the Homewood Baptist Church win interment in the church cemetery. Visitation was held from 5pm to 8pm Tuesday April 26, 2011 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Forest.
Rev Doyle Boyles officiated the services.
He was an active member of Homewood Baptist Church where he also served as a deacon and a true American patriot, as he served his country in the United States Army.
Mr. Warren had retired from the City of Jackson Public Works Engineering Dept in 1989.
He was born in Scott County on December 27, 1930 to George Cleveland Warren and Ollie Warren Wicker .
Mr. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Bobby Warren and a sister, Katie W. Davis.
He is survived by his wife Georgia E. Warren of Pulaski, a son Terry D. Warren and wife Lydia of Florence, Ms., and a daughter Sheila K. Moss and her husband Mike of Pulaski, and five sisters, Bessie Price of Jackson, Jewel Butler of Pulaski, Bertie Weems of Flora, Nora Seals (Henry) of Denver Co. and Nancy Hollingsworth (Byron) of Lake. Mr. Warren also leaves a legacy of four grandchildren, Jennifer Moss, Justin Moss, Chris Warren, and Corey Warren.
Pallbearers were Bill Batte, Sam Shirley, John Harrison, Jeff Barnes, Ronald Chambers, and Randy Harrison
