Ethel M. Tadlock

Ethel May Houston Tadlock, 83, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016, at the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS surrounded by family. Ethel was the daughter of the late Luther and Geneva May Houston of Union, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Nell Gilmore and Betty Jo Germany.
She was born in Union, MS and a longtime resident of Jackson and Pearl, MS. Mrs. Tadlock was a member of Pearl United Methodist Church. She was a devoted member of the choir and the Ladies Volunteer Activities.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother and loved old tyme gospel hymns and long conversations with friends. Ethel was full of love for God and family, and she adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, W.C. Tadlock; sons, Michael Tadlock (Debbie) of Hixson, TN and Danny Tadlock (Gay) of Ridgeland, MS; grandchildren, Ashley (Trevor) Thomas, Amanda (Keith) Ferguson, Annalyce Tadlock, Barry (Macy) Tadlock, Brock Tadlock and Branson Tadlock; great grandchildren, J.T. and Tristyn Thomas; sister, Jean Wallace;sister-in-law, Velma Tadlock; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday, November 11, 2016, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Services will be 11:00am Saturday, November 12, in the chapel of the funeral home, with burial to follow in Homewood Methodist Church Cemetery in Homewood, MS.
